While being able to try their hand as herbalists, travelers will learn about the daily use of various plants, their effect on health, as well as about strange and quite questionable ancient treatment methods. Plant adventures will allow them to get to know the average Latvian "home medicine cabinet" and different traditional remedies such as macerates, ointments, tinctures and oxymels, as well as find out what plant-related beliefs are still practiced, why Latvians smudge their house with juniper and mugwort, bring birches home for Midsummer, hang a rowan tree over the door and throw wreaths into the oak tree.

Plant Adventures are available in Latvian, English and German.

Plant Adventures are available from May till October.

The duration of the adventure can be adjusted to fit your schedule.
