ABOUT US
The mission of Alchemilla is to remind people of their close connection with nature and its ability to maintain and improve both physical and mental health.

The name Alchemilla is chosen in honor of lady’s mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris), which has been known since ancient times as a plant with magical healing powers, a wide range of medicinal properties, and has even been used in both witchcraft and experiments to obtain the philosopher’s stone and the elixir of life.

My name is Zane Margarita Altenburga and I am the founder of the Alchemilla project, the main cauldron manager and a herbal witch. In my world, every twig, flower and dewdrop is part of a greater alchemy. Since early childhood I have been fascinated by nature’s ability to influence human health and emotional well-being, and I continue to discover the endless knowledge of plant kingdom, both by studying aromatherapy in fine schools and by watching the moss grow. I believe that every lichen, leaf and berry has its own story, just waiting for the right moment to be told.

In my workshop, nature meets fun: here magical elixirs and potions are brewed, to add the wild power of nature to your travels, holidays and everyday life, or create a special blessing for the newlyweds. I also invite the guests of Latvia to take a deeper look into the authentic Latvian mindset and way of life while enjoying memorable region-specific experiences.
